R&K was awarded a contract at the BASF Corporation Palmyra plant to install approximately 6000 ft. of 24” HDPE fusion pipe for a new process water header project. BASF Corporation is the largest chemical producer worldwide. The project consisted of routing the new water header below and above ground around the perimeter of the 170 plus acre site. This header will service their plant operations for the foreseeable future. Being the general contractor of the project, R&K was also responsible for additional phases of the project, including concrete support structures, stainless steel pipe transitions, culvert installations, and more. R&K teamed with ISCO Industries and their certified fusion technicians to complete the pipe install. Additionally, with the help of local general contractors, the project was completed safely and under budget.
